Job summary

Lackawanna College is seeking an Enrollment Counselor to generate enrollment across college programs, provide educational advising, and participate in recruitment activities. The role involves regional travel and building relationships with high school counselors and teachers to meet enrollment projections.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment events, conducting interviews, presenting to high school students, and guiding families through financial aid processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in recruiting or sales.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits students from designated territories for all academic programs.
• Travels as required to meet schools in assigned recruiting area.
• Attend fairs and open house events as required.
• Conducts career/admissions interviews.
• Develops, implements and assists with workshops, seminars, and open houses.
• Prepares and disseminates weekly progress reports.
• Serves as liaison between the College, potential students, high school counselors, and business and industry contacts.
• Identifies new and/or changing markets.
• Advises prospective students on educational and financial aid options.
• Assists in attrition reduction activities.
• Delivers presentations to high school seniors/underclassmen.
• Manages inquiries and schedules campus appointments.
