Every child deserves the opportunity to discover something they love. As an Enrichment Leader at the Torrance site, you will lead hands-on enrichment experiences across photography, dance, coding, arts, sports, STEM, or other areas.

You’ll foster creativity, curiosity, confidence, and skill development in a safe, inclusive setting. You’ll partner with schools and YMCA Team Members to deliver meaningful, memorable learning experiences during the school year, with opportunities for training,

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school age children or teens in a group setting.
• Experience teaching or leading skill-based classes, enrichment activities, recreation, arts, academics, sports, STEM, or other specialized programs.
• Strong communication skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Current EMSA First Aid and Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications as a condition of employment.
• Completion of required health screenings and background clearances prior to working with participants.

Responsabilités

• Lead engaging enrichment classes that help students develop new skills, express their creativity, and discover new passions.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate, learn, and succeed.
• Design and deliver hands-on lessons that build toward a culminating project, performance, exhibition, or showcase.
• Build meaningful relationships with students, families, school staff, and YMCA Team Members while serving as a positive role model.
• Help create high quality enrichment experiences that promote achievement, belonging, and positive youth development while supporting YMCA program standards.
