Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County seeks English adjunct faculty to teach day, evening, and weekend classes at off-site locations such as local-area high schools. Instructors will prepare and deliver instruction, collaborate with staff, and coordinate with the Program Director or Coordinator.

Applicants must have a Master’s degree or higher in English or a related field and at least two years of PreK-12 teaching experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office is required and prior college

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or related field is required.
• Two years PreK-12 teaching experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills department and college responsibilities as directed by the program director and/or course coordinator.
• Abides by College wide policies and procedures regarding classroom conduct.
• Employs a variety of teaching strategies to meet a diverse student population.
• Develops a course syllabus that aligns with program and College policies.
• Ensures that program specific evaluation methods are administered and completed in a consistent and equitable manner.
• Monitors student performance and provides feedback within a reasonable time-frame.
