Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority – Long Island Rail Road is seeking a Manager - Engineering Training & Operational Support to oversee training for management and craft staff within the Engineering Department. You will ensure compliance with FRA and state mandates and coordinate safety initiatives across the department.

The role involves creating training databases, liaising with Corporate Development and Safety, and supporting emergency lodging during incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; four years' related experience may substitute.
• Experience with Excel reporting and data analysis.
• Administrative background with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Training Database for scheduling and compliance with mandated training.
• Coordinate training across Engineering disciplines and liaise with Corporate Development and Safety.
• Support safety/compliance programs, medical surveillance, and related requirements.
• Provide career development, coaching, and performance reviews for staff.
• Coordinate emergency lodging reservations and CAP with transportation.
