Job summary

Arkansas Northeastern College seeks a Learning and Development Coordinator to plan, organize, and execute training initiatives across the organization. You will serve as the primary point of contact for training, coordinating between departments, trainers, and participants to deliver effective learning experiences.

The role covers program development, scheduling logistics, communications, and administration, with focus on tracking training metrics and supporting engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred; will consider relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a training coordination, administrative, or HR support role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with learning management systems (LMS)
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI in verbal and written communication
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic familiarity with technical or engineering concepts sufficient to effectively coordinate training programs within manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical subject matter experts and translate program requirements into actionable coordination tasks
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment
• Familiarity with e‑learning platforms and virtual training delivery tools
• Knowledge of training evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model
• Exposure to technical training programs involving equipment operation, process engineering, or skilled trades

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of annual training plans and calendars
• Coordinate and maintain training program schedules, curricula, course materials, and related documentation to support effective delivery and recordkeeping
• Coordinate scheduling of training sessions, workshops, and seminars across multiple sites and time zones
• Arrange facilities, equipment, catering, and technology requirements for in-person and virtual training events
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and completion data within an LMS
• Track and report on training metrics, participation rates, and program effectiveness
• Coordinate learning and development programs in support of engineering and technical departments
• Liaise with technical subject matter experts to facilitate the delivery of job‑specific training
