Job summary

Valmet Flow Control Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician I to provide hands-on support for engineering development, testing, and product validation.

You will assist with assembly, troubleshooting, and testing of mechanical, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems while supporting engineers in new product development and design improvements. The role involves creating and executing test procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining lab equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical equivalent in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory and test equipment.
• Assemble, modify, repair, and test mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Assist engineers with prototype development, product testing, validation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and execute test procedures and document data.
• Support PLC-based control systems, instrumentation, sensors, and automated test equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, drawings, and technical documentation.
