Job summary

Telnet, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering technician to work closely with engineers on prototype development, test mockups, and fixture fabrication.

The role involves performing teardowns, maintaining the lab environment, and ensuring safety and documentation compliance. The ideal candidate has an AS degree in mechanical engineering technology and 5+ years in an engineering lab or machine shop, with strong reading of drawings and basic electronics principles.

Qualifications

• Associate in Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years in an engineering lab or machine shop experience
• Experience in Home Appliance industry preferred
• Practical workshop skills with general mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and circuit diagrams familiarity with electronic components

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers on prototype creation and evaluation; provide hands-on feedback during development.
• Create and modify test mockups, parts and fixtures.
• Perform product teardowns / modifications / inspections.
• Maintain machine workshop / lab environment including equipment maintenance and periodic calibrations.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards and related documentation.
• Manage equipment, sample and materials inventories.
• Perform product performance/quality testing; troubleshoot testing and product issues.
• Perform basic data analysis / simple calculations.
