Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Engineering Technician III for its lab expansion. The role focuses on assembling prototype HVAC units, wiring, instrument installation, and testing under engineering direction.

You'll work with CAD models, BOMs, and lab equipment, report nonconformities, and contribute to continuous improvements while upholding EH&S standards in a first-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience.
• Experience in mechanical test lab or field service preferred.
• Fork truck, Man lift, Universal card, or R410a card preferred.
• Mentorship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype HVAC units from BOMs, CAD models, drawings, and engineering direction.
• Install instrumentation on test units per standard lab methods.
• Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Identify and report nonconformities to engineering stakeholders.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and EH&S compliance.
• Provide guidance to other technicians (senior roles).
