Job summary

Daikin Applied in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep site machinery in good repair at a manufacturing facility in Owatonna. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment, and troubleshoot electrical issues using PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.

You will document repairs, support safety procedures, and assist emergency response teams on site. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus manufacturing experience; PIT and First Aid certifications are required or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or HVAC maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to obtain PIT and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Adjusts devices and replaces defective components; troubleshoots electrical issues.
• Works with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs; diagnoses root causes of malfunctions.
• Maintains repair records and work orders; trains others as needed.
• Participates in emergency response and safety procedures.

Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, this position keeps site machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Fabricates or modifies replacement parts.
