Position Overview and Responsibilities

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, is seeking an Engineering Technician III in Perryville, MD. The role involves supporting the development, design, and installation of Communications and Sensor Systems for Naval Vessel Sink Exercises (SINKEX) for Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) Pacific and US Navy Commands.

• Design high-speed data acquisition systems, telemetry Starlink communication setups, and data recording systems for ship tests.
• Support weapons effects testing by providing critical input to test plans and performing tests as per the plan at various locations including Pacific Missile Range Facility, HI; Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD; Dahlgren, VA; and others.
• Review test plans, procedures, drawings, and schematics; conduct field investigations for root cause analysis during material testing and at-sea events.
• Analyze and improve instrumentation layouts for shock testing and provide analysis on material degradation due to air-blast shocks.
• Support military material performance testing and failure analysis through technical documentation of instrumentation for environmental testing ashore and afloat.

Qualifications

• Experience with sensors measuring pressure, acceleration, velocity, displacement, and other parameters
• Experience with wireless network systems for command and control at land and sea
• Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance
