Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 5 to 20+ years of experience
- Experience with Arista switches, including CVP, Cisco routers and switches (Nexus), network monitoring and management platforms, including SolarWinds, including NCM, Cisco DNA, Wireshark packet analysis, Python scripting and automation, and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS). Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and related infrastructure.
- Understanding the corporate and guest wifi network.
- Understanding of wireless authentication methods WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA3, 802.1x/EAP
- Wireless encryption method: AES, TKIP, GCMP
- Wireless Infrastructure mode terminology like BSS, BSA, SSID, BSSID, ESS, IBSS
- Understanding of wireless standard RF spectrum and channels
- Understanding different AP architectures, autonomous, cloud-based, and lightweight
- Understanding CAPWAP operation.
- Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices
- Perform network assessments and site surveys to determine optimal wireless coverage and capacity.
- Configure and troubleshoot wireless LANs (WLANs) and related protocols (e.g., 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Monitor wireless network performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions with existing network infrastructure.
- Implement security measures to protect wireless networks, including encryption, authentication, and access controls.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for wireless network issues, escalating as necessary.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures for future reference.
- Stay up to date with the latest wireless technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless or higher certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience in network technologies like routing, switching, LAN, WAN, and Wireless LAN. Administration of Cisco routers, Cisco and Arista switches, Access point, Wireless LAN Controller, and SolarWinds.
- Independently handling major incidents and actively participating in troubleshooting bridge calls
- Arista MLAG, EOS, CVP, AVD
- Experience with network automation tool Ansible, Python scripting
- Subject Matter Expert in routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, IS-IS, OSPF.
- Experience with MPLS networks and Cisco Catalyst SDWAN technology
- Understanding VPN technology
- Understanding industrial Cisco routers and switches
- Clear understanding of backbone network and data center network
- Network L3 skills in Routing, Switching, Wireless LAN, SolarWinds,
- Clear understanding and troubleshooting skills in LAN/WAN/ Data center Network infrastructure.
- Experience in working with different vendors like Cisco, Arista, and the TAC / RMA process.
- Incident, Change, problem request, and service request Management.
- Good at Technical documentation, Information Security Awareness, Availability, and flexibility as needed. Collaboration, Teamwork, Quick learner.
Roles & Responsibilities
- This position will directly support the customer's enterprise network environment. They will participate in the installation, configuration, and performance analysis of enterprise networks with a primary focus on network routing and switching.
- Candidates should have an advanced understanding of network communications technologies and demonstrate the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, coordinate, and resolve complex network issues and projects. Participate in a
- rotating on-call schedule to provide 24x7 support.
- Provide Network Operations support in EST hours, 8 AM to 5 PM, during weekdays. After office hours and the weekend, rotational on-call support.
- Follow Incident, change, problem request, and service request management process with 100 % compliance to agreed standards, and meet Client SLAs.
- Responsive to all communication. With our services give a good experience to our clients and achieve 100 % customer satisfaction.
- Learn new technologies as needed and start supporting them.
- Provide technical support and analysis, operation, administration, and troubleshooting activities- Adhere to and advocate change management policies, incident management, and trouble response scenarios.
- Lead, facilitate, and coordinate work activities of others within the work group, team, or department- Prepare technical documentation including procedures, manuals, reports, and standards.
- Exhibit, problem-solving, troubleshooting, resolution, communication, and customer service skills.
- Apply patches or Code upgrades as per the customer's recommendation.
- Configure, manage, and operate the Network Environment and the Network Services, incorporating redundancy as per the guidance provided by the Customer Network Design & Architecture team.
- Assist, in accordance with SLA, in resolving Incidents and completing Tasks associated with Network equipment and Network Services software by coordinating with the Field Operation team for on-premises break/fix support as necessary.
- Follows policies, practices, procedures, standards, and company rules relative to assignments; complies with regulations and procedures required by external agencies.
- Analyze network performance, troubleshoot when necessary, and provide resolutions to technical problems.
- Review and evaluate the impact of the Network Services, particularly Changes in the Network Environment, on the other IT Functions and other Customer IT Environment Providers.
Generic Managerial Skills,
- Must be able to clearly interact with customers, understand the customer s requirements, and be able to present solutions to customers. Interact with the team lead and other team members to improve support quality.
