Job description

Production Design Technical Systems Specialist

Design Operations Team

This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), remote role, but you most be in Culver City or Cupertino, CA. No relocation candidates, please only apply if you're local and can start immediately.


Summary
Join a cross-functional team focused on optimizing design workflows and systems to support large-scale production design efforts. This role acts as a critical bridge between design, production, and engineering teams-improving tooling, streamlining processes, and supporting system scalability across creative operations.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in design operations, systems design, or a related field

  • Passion for production design systems with a strong foundation in process improvement and workflow design

  • Proficient in Keynote, Numbers, and Pages, with strong documentation and training development skills

  • Familiar with workflow audits, automation tools, and collaborative design platforms

  • Skilled in collaborating with creative, production, engineering, and operations teams

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail

  • Self-motivated, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented with a proactive mindset


Job Description
In this role, you will enhance and maintain scalable production design systems to support high-volume art creation.
You'll partner with creative, production, and engineering stakeholders to audit workflows, document processes, and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. This includes facilitating design-to-engineering handoffs, mapping current processes, building training materials, and integrating tools that balance automation with creative touchpoints.
You will also support onboarding efforts, develop project management systems, and champion best practices-contributing to the team's overall effectiveness and design quality.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Communications, Operations, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Background in production design, systems optimization, or creative operations

  • Experience supporting large-scale design teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

This opportunity is remote and only for candidates local to Culver City or Cupertino, CA.


The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $89.00 - $93.25 per hour


This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
