Job summary

Oatey Company is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to support design and development of new plumbing products. You will test concepts, validate designs, and ensure prototypes meet ISO and industry standards, while interfacing with R&D and production teams on new launches.

The role emphasizes testing activities, documentation, and collaboration with vendors to develop dependable, cost-efficient solutions for our product lines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and testing/validation.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and MS Office.
• Able to manage multiple engineering projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Engineering to understand product requirements and develop test methods.
• Conduct tests to prove feasibility of concepts and parts.
• Coordinate with Compliance, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing on test plans.
• Collaborate on feasibility studies to guide design improvements.
• Prepare drawing library and review existing drawings.
• Liaise with vendors and consultants to prototype new devices and changes.
