Job summary

Oatey is seeking an Engineering Technician II in Omaha, NE to assist the design team with new product development and cost-efficient improvements. You will test concepts, build prototypes, and ensure compliance with ISO and industry standards, collaborating across R&D, production, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and testing/validation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Engineering Team to understand product requirements and develop test methods.
• Conduct tests to validate feasibility of designs and production parts.
• Coordinate with Compliance, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing to execute test plans.
• Support feasibility studies and early development with testing results and recommendations.
• Prepare technical drawing library and review current drawings.
• Collaborate with vendors to prototype and test new devices and design changes.
