Job summary

Oatey is seeking an Engineering Technician II in Omaha, NE to assist the design team with new product development and cost-efficient improvements. You will test concepts, build prototypes, and ensure compliance with ISO and industry standards, collaborating across R&D, production, and quality teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, strong mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.

Qualifications

Three to five years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and testing/validation.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Interact with Engineering Team to understand product requirements and develop test methods.
Conduct tests to validate feasibility of designs and production parts.
Coordinate with Compliance, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing to execute test plans.
Support feasibility studies and early development with testing results and recommendations.
Prepare technical drawing library and review current drawings.
Collaborate with vendors to prototype and test new devices and design changes.
