Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in Bagdad, Arizona is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support sampling and drilling operations at the mine site, obtaining representative samples and delivering them to the assay laboratory.

You will coordinate with dispatch, drilling, and blasting teams, follow SOPs for sampling, ensure proper labeling and safety, and assist with basic lab tasks while keeping equipment clean and ready for use.

Qualifications

• One year experience in an area relevant to the assignment.
• Knowledge of sampling equipment, processes, methods and techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain representative samples and deliver to the assay laboratory in a timely manner.
• Coordinate sampling locations with dispatch, drilling and blasting teams.
• Assist with quality control by labeling duplicate samples and ensuring proper labeling and spacing.
