Under general supervision, work with other Sampler Technicians at a mine site to obtain and deliver consistent and accurate samples to the assay laboratory in a timely manner. As an Engineering Technician I, you support drilling and sampling operations by coordinating closely with dispatch, drilling, and blasting teams to determine required sampling locations. In this role, you obtain representative samples by following established SOPs, ensuring proper spacing, minimum sample weights, and accurate labeling, and assist with quality control by collecting and labeling duplicate samples for identified locations. You transport and deliver samples to the assay laboratory in a timely manner and may perform entry‑level analytical laboratory tasks to prepare samples or assist with routine chemical analysis and reporting. You will provide technical support to ore control and surveying staff as required while verifying that sampling equipment is functional, operating properly, and cleaned after each use. You perform other duties are performed as required.
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
