Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join the sampling team at our Bagdad operations. You will obtain and deliver samples to the assay laboratory, coordinate with dispatch and drilling teams, and ensure proper labeling and SOP compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience, a High School diploma or GED, and knowledge of sampling equipment. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay, with a pay range of $21.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a relevant area.
• Knowledge of sampling equipment, processes and techniques.
• Ability to maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect representative samples following SOPs and label correctly.
• Coordinate with dispatch, drilling and blasting teams to select sampling locations.
• Transport samples to the assay laboratory promptly and assist in basic lab tasks.
• Support ore control and surveying staff as needed.
