Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a field-oriented technician to assist with tailings, crushed leach and water monitoring activities at an Arizona site. You will collect data, support engineering projects and help maintain field documentation while adhering to safety practices.

Responsibilities include field work, data organization, and training on equipment operation, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in an engineering or technical area relevant to the assignment or in the mining industry.
• Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

Responsibilities

• Performs field work and collects monitoring data.
• Manages data and assists with problem-solving that may require basic theories and engineering fundamentals.
• Utilizes computer program to organize data, document field activities and develop reports.
• Manage workflows for activities listed in the Operations, Maintenance and Surveillance Manual
• Oversees survey layout and field review of tailings engineering projects
• Organizes and provides training on the operation and maintenance of equipment
