Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Supervisor, Engineering to lead a team focused on transmission and distribution engineering, project design, permitting, and standards governance. The role ensures processes and standards align enterprise-wide and oversees safe and compliant project completion.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of engineering leadership experience, with a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Five years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• PE License or related certification preferred (PM, NACE, API, GTI, etc.).
• Knowledge of engineering principles, construction, maintenance and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a team of engineers and engineering technicians for utility engineering, aligning with company values.
• Develops, trains, coaches, and conducts performance appraisals of team members.
• Supports Operations, Business Development, and Regulatory teams on project development and compliance.
• Provides technical guidance for project design, permitting, and standards development.
• Establishes priorities and accountability to meet targets.
• Identifies data-driven process improvements with stakeholders.
• Supports budget and forecast processes and internal/external communications.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local authorities.
• Fosters a positive work culture and engagement.
