Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Project Planning Supervisor to lead the project management team, develop and maintain detailed project plans, and align schedules with strategic goals. You will collaborate with managers and stakeholders to deliver programs on time and within scope.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 5 years of PM/engineering experience, and proficiency with MS Project and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of project management/construction/engineering experience with leadership and budget/schedule responsibilities.
• PMP preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Strong knowledge of project planning tools (MS Project, SAP) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and guidance to the project management team.
• Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans and schedules.
• Coordinates with project managers and teams to gather requirements and timelines.
• Monitors progress and adjusts schedules to meet deadlines.
• Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies.
• Ensures resource allocation aligns with project needs and priorities.
• Prepares and presents project status reports to senior management.
• Implements best practices and tools for planning and scheduling.
• Facilitates communication among stakeholders for clarity and alignment.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
