Job summary

AVI-SPL, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to mentor the local project engineering group and support the Operations and Engineering Manager. You will drive effective communication, project execution, and efficiency within Engineering.

Responsibilities include leading, coaching, validating designs, and coordinating with vendors to ensure successful AV projects while advancing knowledge of AV technologies across the team.

Qualifications

• Mentor, educate, and develop team members.
• Understand the team and provide solutions for optimal performance.
• Communicate professionally with employees, clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and structured problem solving.
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Knowledge of AV design/installation preferred.
• Basic IP networking understanding.
• Strong computer skills for AV design and operation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead the local project engineering group under Operations and Engineering Manager.
• Serve as a change agent to improve communication, execution, and efficiency.
• Lead weekly team huddles to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Validate drawings, designs, and pricing as needed.
• Engage vendors and prospective vendors for product evaluation and post-sales support.
• Identify AV advances and opportunities to apply them within AVI-SPL.
