Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for the MC Project Engineering team on the 2nd shift to lead Module Leads and foremen supporting SSBN 826 construction.

You will ensure timely engineering support, drive issue resolution, and maintain strong cross‑discipline communication across trades, operations, and shipyard management to keep modules advancing through assembly, outfitting, testing, and delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
Minimum of 4 years post graduate engineering experience.
Knowledge of Teamcenter and Columbia Class design preferred.
Experience with CR/CN processes and engineering change management.
Familiarity with shipyard organizational structure and procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Module Leads and General Foreman Support Engineers.
Oversee engineering responses to emergent shipyard issues and communicate assessments.
Direct daily engineering support to trades for disclosures, work packages, and clarifications.
Prioritize drawing revisions and change notices to support construction schedules.
Coordinate with Operations and Engineering leadership to mitigate risks.
Support government certification events and interface with stakeholders.
