Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, seeks an Electrical Engineer on 2nd shift to support final assembly, test, certification, and delivery of the SSBN 826 COLUMBIA. You will act as the primary engineering interface at the Groton shipyard, coordinating with design, ship management, and SUPSHIP.

Qualifications

2–5 years of post graduate engineering experience.
Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering oversight of electrical trade personnel and resolve shipyard issues.
Interpret design drawings and technical specification requirements.
Provide engineering direction via dispositions of Change Notices and TIR UNSATs.
Oversee manufacturing, inspection, and testing of material.
Conduct engineering evaluations to support manufacturing and construction.
Coordinate engagement of design and engineering SMEs during construction sequence.
