Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of project engineers, project managers, field technicians and coordinating engineers on integrated modular data center solutions. You will direct design activities, manage budgets and ensure delivery from design through fabrication and handoff to the customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Professional engineering (PE) license – optional.
• 6+ years of engineering and management experience.
• Experience reading, understanding and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Building Code, International Building Code, NFPA70 etc.
• Excellent organization and detail orientation; strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee post-sales engineering team and manage project execution from design through production and delivery.
• Lead the engineering team to meet quality requirements and stay within budget.
• Coordinate all engineering disciplines (Structural, Architectural, Thermal, Electrical, Mechanical, Fire & Suppression, BMS/Controls) with internal and third-party engineers.
• Collaborate with other Vertiv units and suppliers to select equipment meeting requirements.
• Interface with customers and their engineering teams to align designs with expectations.
• Ensure compliance with codes and permitting processes; manage site coordination with GC.
• Travel to sites for reviews and support startup activities; provide engineering evaluations and audits.
• Create and improve engineering plans and procedures; conduct annual performance evaluations.
