Job summary

Vertiv in Ohio seeks an Engineering Supervisor to lead Structural Engineers and third‑party teams, owning post‑sales project execution from design through delivery for data centers and related facilities.

You will drive quality within budget, coordinate with customers and suppliers, and manage site work while ensuring code compliance and evolving engineering procedures. Requires robust leadership and fluency in design standards; PE is optional.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering and management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Experience reading, understanding and interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, National Building Code, International Building Code, NFPA70 etc.
• Fundamental understanding of critical data center equipment.
• Excellent organization skills and must be detail oriented.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee post-sales engineering team and manage project execution from design through production and delivery.
• Lead the engineering team to meet quality and budget requirements.
• Coordinate structural engineering activities with Vertiv and third party engineers.
• Work with other Vertiv units and suppliers to select equipment meeting customer and project requirements.
• Interact with customer and their engineering teams to align designs with requirements and expectations.
• Support customer permitting efforts with the permitting agent when needed.
• Coordinate site work with the customer’s GC and oversee contractors.
• Manage contracted engineering firms for civil and structural designs and shop drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, IBC, NEC, NFPA70 and related codes.
• Support onsite operations including failure mode analysis and SOP reviews.
• Travel 15–20% domestically.
• Provide creative, out-of-the-box engineering solutions.
• Create and improve engineering plans, processes and procedures.
• Perform annual performance evaluations and set objectives for their team.
