The role involves providing technical and administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering, assisting in operational aspects of the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, logs, and project assignments.
2. Support procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
3. Review work orders, prioritize, and assign tasks.
4. Maintain inventories of utilities and maintenance supplies.
5. Respond to guest requests.
6. Coordinate engineering staff activities across shifts.
7. Take full responsibility for the department in the absence of senior management.
8. Understand Omni’s fire alarm procedures and emergency protocols.
9. Familiarity with Omni’s job scenarios.

Qualifications

1. Previous building maintenance experience; entry level (Class 3) or more experienced (Class 2 or 1).
2. Experience with electrical, HVAC, and tools; stricter requirements for higher classes.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform inspections and repairs in various environments.
4. Mobility across hotel property, ability to climb ladders, work in high/confined spaces.
5. Proficiency with tools and equipment, good time management, customer service skills, and computer literacy.
6. Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
