The role involves providing technical and administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering, assisting in all operational aspects of the Engineering Department.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering in maintenance, including logging work, scheduling, and project assignments.
2. Support procurement of supplies and issuance of purchase orders.
3. Review work orders, prioritize, and assign tasks.
4. Maintain inventories of utilities and maintenance supplies.
5. Respond to guest requests.
6. Coordinate activities of the engineering staff during shifts.
7. Take full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of leadership.
8. Understand Omni’s fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
9. Familiarity with Omni's job scenarios.

Qualifications

• Previous building maintenance experience is required. Entry-level positions require less experience; higher levels require more extensive hotel maintenance background.
• Experience with electrical, HVAC, and tools; stricter requirements for higher positions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various hotel areas, including high places and confined spaces.
• Climbing ladders and operating power tools required.
• Excellent time management, customer service skills, and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and ability to meet deadlines.
• Availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
