Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is seeking a Student Services & Success Coordinator to support CECS students and connect them with college and university resources. They will also facilitate peer mentoring and meet with at‑risk students to improve retention and success.

The role emphasizes data tracking of programs, collaboration with faculty, and organizing workshops to strengthen academic skills and resilience. A Bachelor's degree and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
• Two years of related experience.
• Associate’s degree with four years related experience, or Master’s degree may substitute.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Identify academic challenges and connect students with tutoring, counseling, and other support services.
• Collaborate with college personnel to ensure students access services available within the college and university.
• Facilitate and oversee peer-to-peer mentoring programs and match students with mentors.
• Develop individualized support plans for at‑risk students to improve retention and success.
• Assist students in understanding curriculum requirements and educational planning.
• Organize and lead workshops and events to enhance academic skills and resilience.
• Make travel arrangements for students attending competitions or conferences.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of support initiatives.
