Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking a Student Support Coordinator to promote access, retention, and success for students transitioning from ECHS programs. You will manage the GTF Scholars program, oversee the Peer Mentor program, and coordinate with campus partners to ensure a smooth academic and social transition for FTIC students.

The role is grant-funded through September 30, 2030, with extension dependent on funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five (5) years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, or related field (preferred).
• Familiarity with grant-funded programming, compliance, and reporting (preferred).
• Experience coordinating peer mentor programs or student leadership initiatives (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Design and lead academic and social programming that supports engagement and success for GTF Scholars.
• Provide individualized case management and connect students to campus resources.
• Recruit, train, and supervise GTF Peer Mentors and paid student workers.
• Coordinate outreach efforts to prospective GTF Scholars and support onboarding with internal teams and ECHS partners.
• Manage administrative tasks, including scholarship notifications, letters, and inventory tracking.
• Assist with budget tracking and scholarship compliance.
• Stay in compliance with FERPA and university policies; uphold confidentiality and ethics.
