Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks a Vice President of Engineering to lead design, R&D, production engineering and technical support for a high-volume manufacturer. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest quality while aligning engineering strategy with business goals.

You will drive Lean initiatives, DFM, and continuous improvement across the full product lifecycle, mentoring leaders and coordinating across functions. Occasional travel and relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years of engineering experience with at least five years in a leadership role in an organization of comparable breadth and depth.
• Demonstrated experience reducing product complexity and streamlining engineering processes to cut time and cost.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and production-oriented engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical strategy and product development roadmaps aligned with targets.
• Identify and implement new technologies, materials, and processes (Automation, Industry 4.0).
• Oversee R&D initiatives for new products and process innovations.
• Bridge design and production with manufacturing to ensure seamless product launches.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and waste reduction.
