Job summary

FPC National, based in Rochester, NY, seeks an experienced General Manager for Engineering Services to lead the discipline and drive growth. You will oversee engineering, program management, sales, marketing, finance and HR, while managing the P&L and strategic financial targets.

You will guide a large, distributed engineering team with deep embedded systems expertise and a focus on improving processes, governance, and customer outcomes. Strong leadership and AI-enabled optimization are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of product design and development with leadership responsibility.
• Prior P&L ownership with strategic, financial and analytical acumen.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Strong communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• General management of the business, including oversight of engineering, sales and marketing, finance, HR, and support functions.
• Own the P&L and drive budgets, capacity planning and performance metrics.
• Lead the proposal-to-delivery process and engineering outcomes.
• Develop and coach a high-performing, collaborative team.
• Support business development and revenue generation in partnership with sales and program managers.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving and clear communication.
• Lead process improvements and Lean initiatives to scale operations.
• Collaborate across divisions to share resources and capabilities.
