Job summary

Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area seeks a full-time Project Manager 2 Engineering – Marine.

You will manage medium-to-large engineering programs, develop and execute project plans, track milestones and report status, and support process improvements across the PM group. You will mentor less-experienced Project Managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align scope, schedule, and cost, while building strong stakeholder relationships in a dynamic marine

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years relevant experience
  • GPA 3.0 or higher as a general rule
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of production and operations issues as they relate to engineering project management

Responsibilities

  • Manages medium-to-large engineering projects of average complexity, including defining scope, milestones, and decisions
  • Supports process improvement activities within PM practices
  • Drives projects to closure with issue/risk mitigation plans
  • Maintains clear project status, documentation, and reporting for projects using established tools
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders and leads productive team meetings
  • Builds alignment within the department and manages interdependencies with other teams
  • Mentors less-experienced Project Managers (PM — Engineer 1)
