Garmin International is seeking a full-time Team Leader Mechanical Engineering for the Marine Product team at the U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.

You will lead a Mechanical Engineering team responsible for designing, verifying and implementing mechanical or electromechanical components, products, and systems. The role involves directing and mentoring engineers, participating in recruiting, design reviews, and ensuring staffing plans align with the product development plan to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or 10+ years for seniority.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct a Mechanical Engineering team to design and implement mechanical/electromechanical components and systems.
  • Supervise team members, provide coaching and mentoring, and participate in recruiting and performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to design reviews and ensure coverage of topics and best practices.
  • Develop staffing plans to meet design, quality, and schedule goals within the product development plan.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality and Development to support project success.
