Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (Contingency) to plan, direct, and oversee engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects at a military installation in Watervliet, NY.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, contractors, government agencies, and installation stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. This contingent position emphasizes scope, schedule, budget, quality, and regulatory adherence, supporting facility operations and mission

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field.
• Experience managing engineering, construction, facilities, or infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
• Knowledge of project management principles: scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and review project plans, cost estimates, technical specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of engineering, construction, facility-related codes, standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (MS Project or similar).
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage engineering and construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, military personnel, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, and submittals for compliance.
• Conduct site visits to verify status, quality, safety, and contract adherence.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and recommendations for leadership regarding status and priorities.
• Support long-range facility planning by identifying needs and capital initiatives.
