Job summary

KBR in Watervliet, NY is seeking a Civil Engineer (Contingency) to plan, design, and manage infrastructure and facilities supporting TACOM operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles for planning, design, construction, and rehabilitation of facilities.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, cost estimates, and reports.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Experience managing civil engineering/construction projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage civil projects for facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and site development.
• Prepare and review studies, designs, plans, specs, drawings, cost estimates, and reports.
• Serve as project manager, coordinating scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
• Conduct site assessments, inspections, and evaluations to identify deficiencies and actions.
• Provide technical oversight of construction activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, environmental personnel, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review submittals and design changes for compliance and constructability.
• Support long-range facility and infrastructure planning and capital improvements.
