Caterpillar is seeking an Engineering Project Team Lead (machine development) to lead a multi-disciplinary team at the Peoria Proving Ground in Washington, IL. The role focuses on validating articulated truck products and advancing validation early in the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, process ownership, and hands-on validation, with travel up to 10% and a strong emphasis on collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree: Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering or related field.
• Experience with validation and testing in a manufacturing context.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsabilités

• Build Relationships with Product Groups, Process Partners, and Validation teams.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to test engineers.
• Maintain and improve standard test procedures for quality.
• Develop and maintain validation strategies with system and global teams.
• Track program health, risks, and progress.
• Hands-on validation and customer-perspective testing.
