Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to validate products and processes in the IDES division at the Mossville, IL laboratory. You will help accelerate introduction of new designs, technologies, and virtual product development methods.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and experience with product testing, data analysis, and collaboration across internal teams. Onsite work five days a week in Mossville, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with lab testing and product development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pre-test preparation, inspection, and instrumentation of components to collect data.
• Lab test development and execution for new products or processes.
• Analyze test data and maintain databases.
• Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders and teams.
• Contribute to design, development, and validation of driveline components.
