Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced project manager to oversee facilities, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects in Texas. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety compliance while coordinating with clients, APR, and external vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

You will lead risk assessment, ensure quality, and drive invoices and change orders in collaboration with accounting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science or geology as required.
Minimum 5 years’ related experience; or 9 years if no degree.
Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized project.
Define project scope, schedule and budget with client or NAM.
Design and implement a project plan to complete the project.
Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety plan.
Resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
Coordinate resources, schedules, budgets and forecasts, including external contractors.
Prepare reports and communicate project status to client and team.
Set priorities and assign tasks to project staff to meet milestones.
Coordinate with APR for oversight and reviews at critical junctures.
Manage invoicing, change orders and collections with accounting.
Develop understanding of project risk and company risk policies.
Foster safe work environment with pre-task planning and quality monitoring.
