Job summary

MillerClapperton in Austell, GA seeks a Project Coordinator to act as a liaison between Engineering and other departments, coordinating projects and improving cross-functional communication and workflows. This in-person role supports process development, scheduling, training, and special projects within Engineering.

The incumbent will review drawings, assist with design coordination, and help implement process improvements and documentation across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, technical drawings, specifications, and material takeoffs.
• Working knowledge of Shop Drawing drafting, 3D modeling, Production Drawing drafting, scan-data interpretation, and engineering calculations.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
• Proficiency with PDF review and markup software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, document, and continuously improve Engineering Department processes and workflows.
• Lead and coordinate special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
• Serve as a liaison between Engineering, Project Management, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and project coordination.
• Communicate project changes and assist with detail design coordination as needed.
• Perform preliminary reviews of shop drawings and fabrication drawings to identify potential issues and support quality and accuracy.
• Support the development and improvement of scripts, automation tools, and Engineering workflows, including troubleshooting errors and coordinating corrective actions.
• Lead or facilitate scheduling and coordination meetings as required.
• Coordinate and lead ongoing development meetings to ensure Engineering initiatives remain aligned with departmental objectives and broader company goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve communication, efficiency, consistency, and accountability across Engineering-related processes.
• Assist Engineering leadership with the implementation and follow-through of departmental initiatives and process improvements.
