Job summary

City of Salem Public Works seeks civil engineers at three levels: Engineering Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Manager, depending on experience and certification. The team plans a broad CIP with future funding and a mix of in‑office and remote work days with manager approval.

Openings are in Utility Engineering, covering water treatment, distribution, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Immediate need in water treatment and distribution, with related experience in other areas

Qualifications

• Experience: Engineering levels show 6+ years for Project Manager, 10+ years for Senior Project Manager, 12+ years for Engineering Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Project management for moderate to large projects (planning, design and construction).
• Supervises project teams and interns as applicable by level.
• Budgeting, regulatory permits, QA/QC responsibilities and coordination with utility engineering scope.
