Job summary

City of Salem seeks experienced civil engineers for Engineering Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Manager positions. The role covers water, wastewater, stormwater, and planning projects with responsibilities from design through construction.

You will manage budgets, regulatory permits, QA/QC, and lead teams of licensed engineers while coordinating with stakeholders citywide. A PE license in Oregon within one year is required, with a strong emphasis on collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 12+ years of experience.
• Professional Civil Engineer license within the State of Oregon within one year of appointment.
• Pass the pre-employment background check.
• Possess an Oregon Driver license and driving record meeting City standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects through design and construction; oversee budgets, permits, and QA/QC.
• Lead project teams of licensed professional engineers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and promote collaboration across divisions.
• Develop and implement project delivery procedures and standards.
