Veeco Instruments Inc. in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to own system-level electrical design decisions from concept through production release for semiconductor capital equipment.

You will translate requirements into integrated analog, digital, and power solutions while guiding cross-functional teams through verification, issue resolution, and compliance. The role shapes electrical architecture and design practices across Veeco platforms.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 8+ years.
• Experience designing electrical or electronic systems for industrial capital equipment.
• Experience developing analog, digital, mixed-signal, and AC/DC power systems.

Responsabilidades

• Own electrical subsystem and system-level architectures for complex semiconductor capital equipment, ensuring manufacturability.
• Lead design and integration of analog, digital, mixed-signal, AC/DC power, controls, PCBs, cables, and harnesses.
• Define and verify EtherCAT-based interconnects for dependable communication and power distribution.
• Design safety interlocks and drive compliance with SEMI, UL, CE, and related standards.
• Direct hands-on verification, calibration, and root-cause investigations using test data.
• Guide product development planning by defining scope, risks, tasks, effort, and cost.
• Deliver production-release documentation including schematics, drawings, reports, tests, calibration methods, and design reviews.
