Job summary

Glass Roots Construction (GRC) is seeking a high-performing Engineering Project Manager to lead underground utility projects from inception to completion, bridging strategy and field execution while driving profitability and client relationships.

You will mentor field teams, coordinate design, permitting, and construction, and manage engineering milestones, risks, and reporting to senior leadership. Strong leadership and safety commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of project management or coordination experience in telecom, utility, or infrastructure construction.
• Familiarity with fiber OSP construction workflows and interactions between design, permitting, and field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering delivery schedule, tracking milestones and status across active workstreams.
• Identify schedule risks and resource constraints; escalate with mitigations.
• Manage flow of design packages from initiation through completion and handoffs.
• Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports for leadership visibility.
• Serve as day-to-day coordinator between design, permit coordination, field ops, and PM.
• Facilitate meetings, kick-offs, milestone reviews, and cross-functional syncs.
• Communicate status and constraints to construction teams clearly and timely.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders on deliverable requirements and timelines.
• Maintain complete engineering documentation with version control.
• Build and maintain project-level reports in Excel/Sheets.
• Support budgets and track change orders; flag variances.
• Identify process gaps and propose structured improvements.
