Job summary

Dorman Products in Warsaw, KY, is seeking an Engineering Manager for Warehouse Optimization to lead and refine warehouse layouts, labor standards, and process improvements. You will drive capital projects, collaborate across sites, and ensure scalable designs that meet changing product demands.

Responsibilities include optimizing slotting, material flow, and space utilization, while partnering with Operations to sustain gains and standardize drawings and documentation across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years in warehouse engineering, industrial engineering, distribution facility design or similar.
• Experience with slotting strategies, capacity planning, and space utilization.

Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse engineering initiatives across multiple distribution centers to optimize layout and capacity.
• Analyze pick paths, storage density, and material handling to improve productivity and space efficiency.
• Maintain labor standards and performance tracking for workforce efficiency.
• Create and update warehouse layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Monitor product assortment and volume shifts to adjust configurations accordingly.
• Develop technical recommendations, scopes, and business cases for investments.
• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
