Job summary

Polymarket is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the systems that keep our prediction market fair and safe, including identity verification, fraud controls, market surveillance, and user protections.

You will partner with Trust & Safety, Surveillance, and Compliance leaders to design scalable detection and prevention tooling and guide a team of senior engineers, defining the technical direction while balancing user friction and risk in a regulated exchange.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering.
• 2+ years managing engineers.
• Experience building trust and safety, integrity, fraud, risk, or surveillance systems.
• Comfort working in a regulated environment and translating requirements into design.

Responsibilities

• Own identity verification and onboarding systems (KYC).
• Build fraud and financial crime controls (AML, sanctions).
• Build trade and market surveillance to detect manipulation and wash trading.
• Ship user protections such as deposit limits and responsible trading controls.
• Build case management and investigation tooling with audit trails.
