Job summary

Polymarket, the leading prediction market in the US, seeks an Engineering Manager to helm identity/onboarding, fraud controls, and market surveillance. You will partner with Trust & Safety, Compliance, and Investigation teams to design scalable defenses and risk controls.

You will build and guide a team of senior engineers, align technical direction with regulatory requirements, and deliver reliable protection features across the product while balancing user experience and risk at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with at least 2+ years in people management.
• Experience building trust/safety, fraud, risk, or surveillance systems at scale.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into system design.
• Strong data-intensive systems experience: event streams and detection pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own identity verification and onboarding systems (KYC) end-to-end.
• Build fraud and financial crime controls including AML checks and sanctions screening.
• Develop market surveillance to detect manipulation and wash trading and produce actionable alerts.
• Ship protective features like deposit limits and self-exclusion with reliable coverage.
• Lead and hire a team of senior engineers and set technical direction.
