Job summary

DateMil is seeking an experienced engineering leader to own safety platform integrity across trusted systems. You will direct the design of moderation, detection, and enforcement infrastructure, guide architecture decisions, and ensure scalable, secure services.

Collaborate with policy, product, and data teams to translate safety requirements into technical solutions. The role emphasizes human-in-the-loop review and balance between automation and fairness in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of engineering experience, with several years in leadership roles.
• Experience building large-scale backend or platform systems.
• Experience working on Trust & Safety, Integrity, Moderation, Risk, Fraud, or Security systems.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
• Experience working with AI/ML or data-driven detection systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for platform safety, moderation, detection, and integrity tooling.
• Define technical strategy for Trust & Safety infrastructure across platforms.
• Ensure systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Lead architecture decisions for safety-related services.
• Build and maintain internal tools for content review, classification, and enforcement.
• Develop systems that support human moderation and AI-assisted review.
• Partner with Data Science to build detection models and improve risk scoring.
• Collaborate with Policy, Product, Compliance, Legal, and Data teams.
