Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience in scalable distributed systems.
• 2+ years of managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to define and drive technical vision and roadmap for mission-critical services.
• Strong track record recruiting, developing and retaining top engineering talent.
• Excellent communication with technical peers, product managers and executives.
• Familiarity with billing products and payments processing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily execution of the engineering roadmap to deliver high-quality, reliable code on time.
• Maintain 24/7 health and stability of payment systems, lead on-call rotations and post-mortems.
• Provide hands-on guidance on design, architecture and code reviews for security, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Risk, Legal/Compliance to align on requirements and regulatory needs.
• Set long-term architectural vision and roadmap for services supporting millions of subscribers.
• Attract, hire, and coach engineers, fostering ownership and continuous learning.
