Job summary

Roblox is seeking an Engineering Manager for Payments - Subscriptions to direct strategy and implementation for Roblox’s subscription offerings. You will influence key metrics, collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Legal teams, and own systems across subscription billing, growth, and observability.

Qualifications

8+ years of hands-on software development experience, building scalable systems.
2+ years of managing and mentoring strong engineering teams.
Proven ability to define and drive technical vision and roadmap for mission-critical services.
Strong track record in recruiting, developing, and retaining engineering talent.

Responsibilities

Direct the strategy and implementation for Roblox subscriptions.
Oversee daily execution of the engineering roadmap and on-time delivery of quality code.
Maintain 24/7 health of payment systems and incident response processes.
Lead architectural design, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
Set long-term technical vision and roadmap for subscription services.
Grow and coach the Subscriptions Pod to foster ownership and excellence.
