Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lead Engineer to drive engineering activities for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. You will guide project development, supporting estimating, procurement, and construction execution with strong technical leadership.

You will lead reviews of RFPs/RFIs and owner requirements, translating them into executable designs and project execution strategies while mentoring multidisciplinary teams and managing consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years in engineering, design, construction, or renewable energy project execution.
• Minimum three (3) years leading engineering teams or multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities supporting project development, estimating, procurement, and construction execution.
• Serve as engineering SME for project development and preconstruction efforts, providing technical recommendations.
• Lead technical review and evaluation of RFPs, RFIs, specs, and owner requirements to identify scope gaps, risks, and commercial impacts.
• Translate customer requirements into executable engineering designs, assumptions, and project execution strategies.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed solar and battery energy storage (BESS) designs.
• Perform site layout development and optimization for solar and BESS projects, including site constraints and interconnection.
